Notice handed in, retirement paperwork completed and new home found ! Standing on the precipice of our new adventure.
Throughout our marriage the other half and I have lived in many locations, different climates and cultures, from the wet west coast of Scotland to the culture of Bath, from the windswept freezing temperatures of the Falkland Islands and the tropical seasons of Cambodia. Now we are going to settle in an area of England we have loved for years, North Devon. We are both sea lovers, growing up on the south coast and landlocked Gloucestershire is beautiful but I can’t hear the sea.
New beginnings are always scary but you need to grab opportunities and for me this move will enable me to concentrate on my art and develop my batik skills. I have rejoined the Batik Guild http://www.batikguild.org.uk and hope contact with fellow artists will offer inspiration. My brain is already buzzing with ideas which are scribbled/roughly sketched in my sketch book. Meanwhile art material has been tidied up and half finished pieces of work stored away as the house is being packed up around my ears!
Stand beside me while I jump !
